Holy Crap!!!

I was walking down a street doing some marketing for my job when I came across this bicycle unlocked in someone's front yard.

The only time I've ever seen one of these in person is at the public mesuem in town. That picture is not very good quality, but none the less, it's amazing. It made my horrible day at work totally worth it.

Bikes: '97 Santa Cruz Chameleon SS/fixie, 1960 Rollfast frankenstein beach cruiser, unknown make and year "Bat Cruiser", unkown year and make Italvega (to be restored eventually) and an unknown year Takara Touring Deluxe that gettin' 'fixed'

My old landlord has one rusting away in her backyard. I've lost count of how many times I've begged her to sell it to me. But, NOOOOOOOO......, it has 'sentimental value'.

WTF???

I didn't. No one was out near it. I was going to knock on the door, but I was late getting back to work, so I couldn't. I would have offered them my soul to ride it. Haha.

If it has "sentimental value" why is she letting it rust in her backyard? I would be taking care of something like that, especially if it had sentimental value to me.

Go figure?? The only real reason I think she has is that she is an ex-tweaker. You know how they just love to hoard crap they don't need. It's been a couple years, I should swing by and see if she still has it.

Oh, well, that explains it, I suppose. Being younger, I know a lot of adderall tweakers and they hold onto things like no other. I would definitely go by there and ask if I were you. That would be an awesome score if she changed her mind and let you have it.

Oh my god, that's awesome. No one here in the U.S. really has anything like that.

Yea, I been thinkin' about it for the last few weeks.

LOL, all I need is to be coming home with another bike. My current landlord would kill me. Last week I had to sneak in my Italvega 'thrift store score' because the one before that she wasn't too happy about. I've pretty much taken over her tool shed.....

Haha. I warned my soon-to-be roommate that she will hate living with me. We're getting a place with a large living room that will be consumed with bicycles. It'll be like a maze, I swear. I think the only people who could stand living with me are other bike fans. When my ex and I were living together, we had 7 bicycles in the apartment, and only one was his. Haha.

Yea, all I hear is stuff like, "How are you going to ride all those bikes??? You only need one....", "Why do you need all those tires....", etc., etc......

The good thing about that it's really motivated me to ride ALL of my bikes instead of just one...

I wish I had that sort of motivation. As much as I hate to admit it, I really only ride my fixie. If my bikes didn't live at mom & dad's, I probably would ride more of them, but, alas... Oh well.

The next living arrangement is going to be ridiculous. I'm living with a moped kid and a skateboarder. We don't move in for a couple more weeks, but I'm interested to see how things turn out with all of us under one roof. We're already constantly debating which is better... Oh man.
