Cinelli - help ID frame and date

I may be interetsed in purchasing this bike but am not sure the value. Can anyone help?

It has Chorus (triple?) group. Carbon fork is made by Time. Is this a very collectible frame?

$900 obo. I don't need it but I have always wanted a Cinelli. I would prefer one a bit older. I requested the serial number from the seller but I am not sure if I will get it.

That rear tire is awfully close to the seat tube. What's up with that?

Looks like there might be rub marks as well (could be a reflection too).

Anyone else give any feedback about this bike for $900? What frame model is it? When do you think it was made? What is it worth in your opinion.

Thanks,

Guy

It's a Super Corsa, looks to be early 80's from what I can see, looks to be in rough shape, non-original fork (bad) and perhaps has the wrong size wheels on it. No way the rear tire should be that close to the seat tube, even with the axle at the front of the drop outs, especially on that large a frame. Something is not right.

edit: Is it this one?

Chorus group, without seat/seatpost and h/bar/stem, is worth $450 or so. Wheels, if Lambda Strada, worth $180 or so. HBar, Seat, stem, seatpost worth $105 or so. Pedals?

Easily worth $900. Probably would bring $1200-1400 on a well done Ebay auction.

I respectfully disagree. In excellent, original condition, yes. Not for what it pictured.

Frame matches my 1984, but mine is SLX, maybe this is a little newer?

Yes, that is the one. The rear triangle looks so small. I wonder if that is the case because the frame is so big. I don't have an answer why the tire is so close. I will have to ask. I did hear back from the seller that this is a 1994 frame.

1994 or 1984? Looks more like an 84. There should be an easily decipherable serial number on the bottom bracket.

They're probably running a 28mm tire (too big for that kind of frame) if they have the original fork I wouldn't hesitate, it irks me that people do this.

An acquaintance of mine, Matt, is selling that bike. He knows what it is worth and what he could get on eBay as well. He flips these sort of things all of the time. I doubt you could get him below $900. Guygadois, are you in SLO as well?

Does he have the original fork, or not?

Hmmm, I run a 28 on my 84 Cinelli, no problems, but I'm a fat ass!
