Thanks for the reply.
Info on this bike and the company has been so hard to come by .I did find a Hattori sports web site that makes bikes for a Japanese market, is this the same company? If so what happen to the BMX, and Mt.bike line?

Do you know anything about the type of cromoly tubes used on this bike? What size wheel does your bike have ?

Even though our bikes say BMX they are definitely Mt.bikes with 26inch wheels, cantalever brake bosses, and just basic geometry show that.
Could this have been because those days the term "Mountain Bike " had not become adopted yet?

I to am doing a repaint; the original paint was not sound enough to keep.

The previous owner said it was "copy" of early 80s stumpjumper.

I can't find it right now but I'll send you a picture, as it was when I got it.if that could help.
I'd like to see what you bike looks like.

Thanks a lot!!

Nathan

I think the chrome moly used was 4130 tubing.

I recently posted about the Up Sports road bike someone gave me, under ricksterrider. I looked up the company and they are the parent company of Williers now. Someone posted that my bike is an entry level road bike with aero tubes from the 1980s. But I was intrigued by the steel, something special I think. I am keeping it and will start rennovation, I think.
