What is a Supercycle

I have been given a Supercycle Ascent AT 12 that was stored for YEARS in a garage. It is a welded steel frame and heavy. What exactly is this beast??

If you are in Florida, it was probably left behind by a Snowbird.

Supercycle is a brand made for Canadian Tire stores in Canada.

Recreational bikes. I'm pretty sure they made everything from coasters to roadbikes...kiddie trikes to BMX.

Supercycle were/are made by a wide variety of sources. The most common included Canadian sources such as CCM, Procycle and Raleigh Canada, though several Asian companies have also been involved. If you are interested in determining which company made your Supercycle, we may be able to determine the source and year from the serial number.
