Painting a Trek
If I wanted to have my Trek 610 painted someday, how would I go about doing that? Would an auto body place do it (and if so, for how much)? Also, would it be bad to NOT put decals on this time around? And lastly, did Trek 610s ever come in the red like Big Boss Man's bike? If not, would it still be ok to paint it that color?
Thanks all!

I wouldn't let an auto place do it. Check your LBS and ask around. They usually know someone who knows someone who paints bike frames for a living. Unless someone on this board knows someone in Missouri?
Gotta put the decals back on, IMHO!

The thing with the original decals is that they have have yellow in them. Also, I'm going for that clean look. A mechanic at my LBS has the bike of my dreams, almost exactly this:
but without the bottle cages and such. It's a very clean, classic look.
PS: that's the color I'd want... either that or black.
