I wanna stealth fighter black, the stuff that reflects radar, or NanoBlack, the stuff that reflects only .3% of lights shinned on it (blacker than pitched black!) and ride it at night.

My Bianchi is factory pearl black. One of my riding buddies of over a year looked at my bike 1/2 way through a century and said, "Cool... it's Pearl" I guess we do ride a lot at night

How much more black could it be? The answer is none. None more black.

I see a red door, and I want it painted black.
No colors anymore -- I want them to turn black.

I already bought a black Brooks Pro and ekhide bar cover for the black Peugeot, but now I'm thinking that brown might look better. Any opinions?

Dr. Deltron just called to ask if I wanted him to put gold around the seat lug and bottom bracket. It originally had gold around the head lugs only. I told him to go ahead and do it all. It's not going to look original anyway. I don't think they ever made a black '74.

Did they ever make a black PX-10 at all? I think only white, grey, and blue (and then only for a few years). Educate me, if I'm wrong. Looks good, though!

I think it was Miami Jim that told me that there were several colors that could be ordered, including yellow and red, but black only appears on the european order form.

I'll call mine the european version with the optional extra gold striping and clear coat. Who'll know?

I'm working on that. I stopped by Velo Orange in Annapolis today and picked up some VO fluted fenders, a Brooks B17 and some other blingy stuff to get started on this project.

I like the idea of dark brown saddle, bar tape and cable housing.

Antique brown is the color I have in mind for the Brooks. I prefer the B17 to the pro, but I don't want copper rails. That means I will have to spend $300 on the titanium-railed Champion Special. I guess I'll be putting some parts on eBay.

Not gold leaf, just gold pin striping paint. I think he uses One Shot. I told him that I want very narrow striping.

This time around I used something called Liquid-Leaf in Classic Gold tone.

And upon attempting this, I come to find that my eyes don't focus AT ALL, at that close range anymore.

...so Murphy dictated that this all came together late at night in a dark shop, doing naaarrow gold lines with liquid gold on a gloss black frame.

. . less than stellar is all I can say. (sorry DirtDrop..I'm going to call you.)

but from a distance, it's pretty black & chrome!
