Trek 560 ?
hey guys, new member (been lurking for a few weeks)...
so i'm trying to get into biking, specifically looking for something i can ride from queens to midtown manhattan for work and i've been trying to find a decent road bike but something of a fixer upper so i can learn and not break the bank. finding anything in nyc under 200 is ROUGH...
but this caught my eye. i just called the guy and he's going out to measure it now.
any thoughts?

yeah, it looks pretty dirty and he said its a bit scratched up, but i believe it's been dwn in that brownstone basement for along time, he apparently bought it off the original owner but rides a mountainbike instead.
after a couple weeks of watching the exorbidant nyc price on used bikes, i'm gonna go for it. i don't need a beauty queen, just something to get some exercise and get into cycling on. hopefully i can fix it up and learn a few things in the process.
