Thrift store finds this weekend
I'd wanted a mt. bike and ran across this Giant Rincon. It cleaned up real nice. The shifter for the front took a little work to get it to shift and hold , but it's doing better now, but still not perfect. The other find , when I saw it I had no idea what I'd found . Only that it had Shimano 105 equipment and was built pretty solid .I thought it might be some type of racing bike with the smaller 24" front tire and a 700c rear. I bought it and brought it home and did some searching . I'd never heard of a Terry . ( I've only been a bike fanatic for a little over a month ) The tires held long enough for me to get in a 5 minute ride after I cleaned her up ; and she rides like a dream.

I couldn't find your specific model, but it appears to be a pretty good bike for a thrift store find,,,,,,,,,,,,

Bikes: 62 Falcon, 58 Raleigh Lenton Gran Prix, 74 Raleigh Pro, 75 Raleigh Int, 75 Raleigh Comp, 76 Colnago Super, 75 Crescent, 80 Peugeot PX10, plus others too numerous to mention!
"Georgena" is Ms Terry's first name, as in Georgena Terry, founder of Terry bicycles, many of which were developed as "womens specific" models, thus small frames and small diameter front wheels which helped with the angles of the small frames. Anyway, all fairly high quality bikes!

Found this information on the Terry over at Sheldon Brown's site . Chrom --
Manufactured in Japan from 1988-1989 as a road racing bicycle. Retailed for $800. Chrom Tri -- Same as Chrom, but featured Scott Aero Bars. Retailed for $850. Looks like she's around 20 years old . Has some nice equipment on it. kirby
