1983 Peugeot PH12 questions
I know there are dozens of threads asking about peugeot model identifications, but I was wondering what my old peugeot PH12 was designed as, and what tier of quality it ranked at back in the day. What I mean is, was it intended as a touring model, a racer? And was it entry level, mid level, and so on. Any info on the old PH12's would be much appreciated.

PH12 = entry level racing bike with an aerodynamic entry level frame and mid to high end components.
The PH12 was introduced in 1882 to celebrate Peugeots 100th anniversary. Also called the 'centennial' it ran through 1984 in some markets. Any references to 100th anniversary were used in 1982 only. All other years it was simply a PH12.
Frame: Peugeots run of the mill Carbolite 103 tubing. Aero seat tube with an internal rear brake cable. Race bike geometry.
Components: a mix of entrty level (regular maillard hubs) to mid level (SR crank, CLB brakes) to high end (Phillipie bars, Simplex Super LJ rear derailleur) and decent 700c rims.
