26.4mm stem - help!
Hi guys,
Okay so I need your help. I’m in the middle of restoring my first project (will post pictures when it’s finished) and I recently bought handlebars which require a 26.4mm stem clamp.
I had a 25.4mm stem so I thought: “I’ll just get it drilled out”. Well, needless to say, it’s screwed up big time so I’ve just decided to buy a stem with the proper size clamp.
Does anyone know where I can get one of these? Were cinelli the only company to make them?
Thanks for any advice guys.

26.4 Cinelli stems are extremely common on eBay for around $20. I believe they were the only company to use that clamp diameter.

If neither of those options worked for you, I'd say that between the members here there would be hundreds. I'm sure if you post the length that you're after, someone here will be happy to send one your way.
or i could be way off.

Don't count on these prices to last. Cinelli recently, over the last 9 months, emptied their warehouse of all old stock when a new partner invested in the company. Many "dealers" bought the old 26.4 stems hoping on an immediate return on investment, hence the price of $20 plus shipping. Those wanting an immediate return have mostly closed out the stock that they purchased, so the offer is already diminishing. I would expect that the price will start creeping up to the values seen up until the end of 2007. So if you like Cinelli stems, it is my advice to buy them now while you still can cheaply.

Thanks for all your advice guys. The problem is I live in the UK so I don’t know how expensive it’s going to be to get something like that shipped from the U.S. (where I know most people on this forum are from).
I’ve posted another thread so I’ll be looking for some advice on the stem length now! Lol.
If there is anyone this side of the pond that can help me out please let me know.

Thanks for all your replies folks - just back my holiday and whilst I was away someone managed to get me cinelli stem so that's that sorted. Now I got a bit of an issue with the bottom bracket being too wide but I've posted this on bicycle mechanics. Thanks everyone.
