Did you just have that frame chromed? I never heard of a chrome Continental its nice to know someone else spends obscene amounts of money on an old Continental, I love it can't wait to see the finished build

Bikes: 1959 Capo Modell Campagnolo; 1960 Capo Sieger (2); 1962 Carlton Franco Suisse; 1970 Peugeot UO-8; 1982 Bianchi Campione d'Italia; 1988 Schwinn Project KOM-10;
That looks very clean. Build it up with red cable housings.

1980 - all three of them. One is three months apart from the other, the two remaining are only 300 serials apart.
Doubt if they are in the catalog. I've also heard that the 22" ladies' frame was discontinued in '81 as well - have yet to look at the catalogs and confirm any of this.
Sorry, silver/grey (as always on my builds) when it is a Schwinn. Black cables would compliment the headbadge though.

Glad I could help out with the build! I'll keep my eyes peeled for more Schwinn chrome bits!

What are you running for the RD and FD?

FD is the run-of-the-mill rebadged Huret used on the Continentals, while the rear is what I believe is a later model of the Alivit, as used on the late '70s/early '80s Continentals and Varsities. Forgot which Schwinn "GT" model it is.

One of the other members said he might have another Continental II chrome donor fork, but college has been taking up most of his time so far - might have to wait a bit.
