Reusing tubing decals

I am repainting an older bike with Tange double-butted MTB tubing. I managed to get the old tubing decal off in good shape. The back is still tacky but I am wondering if it is tacky enough to put it back on the bike and clear coat over it. Anyone have experience with reusing decals? If I need additional adhesive, what kind do I need?

If it doesn't work, you can buy those new on eBay. If you can't find them, PM me. I'm pretty sure I have two and I only need one.

I bought a six-pack of Tange decals on ebay but they are all for the wrong type tubing. If I'm going to put a decal on it, it might as well be for the right type of tubing. That is why I thought I would use the original if I could.

I'd try giving it a light coat of spray adhesive (like Super 77), but ---important---test the spray first on a scrap of the same sticker material to make sure the solvent in the spray won't ruin the sticker (probably won't but you never know). And I'd clear coat after a day or more of "drying" to allow all the solvent to evaporate.

I have the pink Tange MTB double butted tubing decals. I was offering one for free, but never mind.

as a matter of fact, one of them is black/red/gold and says:

CR-MO SEAMLESS TUBING

TANGE

2

DOUBLE BUTTED TUBES

If that is what you are looking for send me a PM with your address.

Dirtdrop,

Sorry if I came off as unappreciative. I didn't mean to. What I am trying to use or find has a blue border with the words CR-MO TUBING, DOUBLE BUTTED TUBES. The center has a pink background with the words
TANGE, MOUNTAIN BIKE, MTB.

The one I'm looking for has a black oval set on red. In the black oval is CHAMPION in large white letters, with NO. 2 in gold underneath. still in the oval though. Then in gold on blk, says chrome molybdenum steel, under that in larger letters BUTTED TUBES. The last line small, and reads Tange industries LTD. Yours sounds like a little later in the eighties.,,,,BD

I had more than I remembered. I'll probably never use any of them. PM me your address and I'll send you one.
