bearings and grease

'70s era Schwinn LeTour - changed my bearings and grease today. No special wrenches required, Woo Hoo! It seems to roll better, can't wait to really ride it. It was a dirty job but someone had to do it! Some nice bike shop open on Sundays gave me the a little grease in a cup because I couldn't find my 30 yr old tube ... I should go back someday and buy something. Maybe those awesome $80 gloves I saw! Gotta love Concord, MA.

Did you take photos?

Good for you on doing the job!

Hi East Hill,

I thought about taking pictures but the house got busy and I heard thunder and I didn't want to get my camera greasy. It was really interesting though, and maybe next time I'll figure out a way to take pics. I have a nice closeups lens and I'd love to look at my old ball bearings really close, like with a magnifying glass.

All right . Closeups are good, too!
