My beautiful 1st gen chorus derailleur...

Is now scarred.
My boy tipped over my Marinoni with the mower. And the derailleur hit the cement right on the "A B".
Is there any way the etch these markings back on if I sand and polish it out?
But I think the derailleur is also clear coated.
Damn.
