"SANSIN SPORTIF" Hub question

I need to do something about the wheels on my 80's raleigh. The rear rim has a major flat spot on it that no manner of fiddling will straighten out. The owner of my LBS said that he can rebuild the wheel with a new rim and all for $68. Sounds good to me, but I wonder if I should upgrade the hubs. He says that these are quite good and I should stick with them. What doy ou guys know about these sansin sportif hubs???
