My Raleigh Record 1978

It seems you guys are interested in old bikes, so I present you mine. Only the brakes, saddle and tubes have been changed in the past. The gears are Shimano 600. As you can see, it needs some cleaning...

Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.

Can't wait to see it cleaned up!

I don't get your comment, but all I can say is that this bike belonged to my dad and that everything about it (except what I mentionned before) is authentic. Decals and dropouts are genuine.

Even Reynolds tubes, and throughout at that. Don't worry, it's legit, just not a Professional.
Very nice frame, a real classic, I rode a similar one in this year's RetroRonde van Vlaanderen.

But - this poor bike badly needs to be restored!
(And drop bar tape and saddle, while you're at it.)

just noticed - LOOK OUT, it seems as if the wheels' quick releases on your bike are used in an *unsafe* way!

from an earlier thread that I'm not going to search for, IIRC these were mainly made for the European market. my favorite LBS owner had one with the same 531 frame, but all Campy SR. sold it for a pretty penny on eBay.
