Bikes: Eight homemade, three very dusty

I can't tell much about the bike from the picture besides that it's a bonded aluminum frame.

Pierre Hutsebaut was a French man who emigrated to Quebec in the late 60s and became director of the Canadian cyclist association in the 80s. I don't know much about his bikes but I have seen a few around.

It appears to be a rebranded Vitus 979 with Mavic components, probably mid-1980s. This appears to be the earliest model I've seen. Generally, the ones that pop up are late 1980s or early 1990s.

Bikes: 1970 Holdsworth Mistral, Vitus 979, Colnago Primavera, Corratec Hydracarbon, Massi MegaTeam, 1935 Claud Butler Super Velo, Carrera Virtuoso, Viner, 1953 Claud Butler Silver Jubilee, 1954 Holdsworth Typhoon, 1966 Claud Butler Olympic Road, 1982 Claud

It's identical to a Vitus 979 - which is interesting because when I got my 979 I researched where I could get the bonded frame repaired if the unthinkable should happen. The only place I could find was a company in Canada. I've lost their details now, but it's likely to be the same place that produced this bike. By the way, it should be a really light, smooth ride.

Looks like it had Huret dérailleurs. If they are the ones I think they are, they were some of the lightest available. And cool looking. My front derailleur died when my Teledyne frame cracked and I didn't notice the chain was rubbing a lot.

No, I'm pretty sure sure that's the Mavic SSC group with the 801 rear derailleur.
