Side effect of high gas prices

As anyone else noticed that it's getting harder to find affordable vintage rides. I've been searching all my usual places (goodwill, salavage stores, pawn shops) last year I could always find at least some mid-80's bikes now the only thing you see is crappy walmart stuff.

yep. Except around here it was always Muffy bikes. Yard sales have been my best place to find stuff but still, only a couple of things have come my way. And now I've got three coworkers that want me to find them good rides on the cheap.

Fun hobby for me; I haven't tried to make any money off of it so I don't fret the dearth of decent bikes out there going for peanuts.

I've never found anything worthwhile in my local thrifts anyway, but now my [almost worthless before] CL is populated with pre-STI bikes work worth $75-$150 listed for $250-$500.
