3 dozen eggs
I fixed this garbage find up for my (short) wife and she didn't like it any better than the bike I fixed up for her last year.

Some of my daughter's friends were over last week and their (very tall) 8 year old really really wanted a bike. we tried all of my (short) 10 year old daughter's cast offs and couldn't find any tall enough. Finally, we tried this one and after raising (!?!?) the seat a couple of inches, it was a perfect fit. Plus, she's a red head and the color really compliments her hair.
They raise chickens, so we settled on a price of 3 dozen eggs. One of my better flips.
Now I gotta get this kiddy trailer fixed up to swap with the farmer who I get my milk from.

That's a cool story. It made my day. I can just see the little redhead flying along
with the wind in her hair.

You got gouged by one of those egg flippers. All they do is drive up the price of eggs.

(sorry: this is pent up bile spilling over from another thread next door. nice trade!)

Good will vibrations must be filtering through all of northern New England. On Monday I gave a young couple a pair of MTBs I had. Tuned up the shifting and brakes, pumped up the tires and they were good to go. I was glad to free up the space and they were thrilled. I'll call it a pre-wedding gift!
Great story Ben. Are they organic eggs?

this reminds me of Catch-22. they are probably going to get those eggs from Malta at one cent apiece...

Talk about instant karma! Not three blocks from my friends house there was a shiny black "69 Raleigh Sports in someone's yard with a $10 sign on it. I bet I can get some eggs for that.
They're not strictly organic but they don't get a lot of junk food, they just live in the yard there.
The wife didn't dislike the bike, just didn't like it more than this 12 speed that she already has.

What a nice bicycle and an even nicer story.
Would that be an egg flip?
(Seagers is the best, or Advocaat maybe?)
