Braze-on derailure on Pug

The Braze-on for the derailure on my pgn10 isn't like anything current, and I'd like to upgrade the drive train but cant find a FD that will work with it. I was able to use a clamp on under it, but only with a 48 tooth on the largest ring. Any suggestions?

I bought a Simplex braze-on FD on Ebay. I had to out bid two other bidders. Cost me around $35, I believe.
