As a Paramount owner like Stan, I would urge you to buy it, clean it up as best you can and enjoy it. There is lots of good information here and plenty of people willing to help in a positive way.
FYI-I have SunTour barcons on most of my bikes. One Paramount has the Schwinn Approved version, another uses Campy barcons. SunTour barcons are far superior to Campy ones. Maybe not as correct, but they actually work.
