Any South Sounders with a truck wanna make a buck? I'll go halves on a truck load! From my google searches about them it appears they may have to move soon.....That's alot of stuff to move!
Anyone game?

East Hill 11-05-08 07:40 PM

Stringbreaker has a truck...my husband has a (small) pickup....:innocent:....

Hmm.....Very interesting!

East Hill 11-05-08 07:44 PM

I also have a Ford Focus wagon...

Might make for an interesting adventure, eh?

I drove to Fair Haven once just for the fish n' chips! Wouldn't take much to get me to go to Belingham for bikes! I'd love to go. It would take some planning because of their weird hours though.

mtnwkr 11-05-08 09:04 PM

Hmm... I'll chip in on gas! ;)

bmaxwell 11-05-08 09:48 PM

I'll see if I can get a truck to take... if someone pays some gas... I can take 2 other folks... hhhhmmmm I think the truck will make it that far. Or I might just go for the ride along... we could take a truck and a car so more folks can go and we can share the cost of gas for both vehicles... like what 6-8 of us all going wouldn't cost too much each.

Someone is welcome to drive north aways and pick me up before they head over there...

stringbreaker 11-05-08 10:10 PM

I could probably do a Saturday sometime. Are they giving these frames away?

PDXaero 11-05-08 11:40 PM

I've got a suburban and will be in olympia every now and then, a trip up to Bham looks neccesary after seeing those pictures.

kpug505 11-06-08 02:01 PM

Looks like enough interest! I think I'll call them and see what the deal is to see if it's worth the drive. It would be fun for everyone to get together......As I mentioned before there is a fantastic fish n' chips place in Fair Haven that's worth the drive by itself! Maybe we could even organize a little ride on Chuckanut Drive or some other scenic loop?

bmaxwell 11-06-08 02:07 PM

if we take our bikes with us to ride there, then where will all the fodder go?

kpug505 11-06-08 02:12 PM

Convoy.......Maybe one truck for our rides and one truck for the newly acquired goods?

bmaxwell 11-06-08 02:21 PM

hehehehe... oohhh just think of the gas expense.... but gas prices are going down... that is good. What about some bike racks too.... we could bungie the new ones on top of the trucks. HHHMMM anything is possible right.

Hey if a bunch of people from here are going to the hub, you better include me! :)

Maybe I can swing a discount for my "advertising" :innocent:

So this place is in bellingham, right? That's probably only about a century ride from my house!

The ride to the place wouldn't be bad but what about the ride home with 4 frames strapped to your back?!?!?

Lets get a date set for a month out or so. It will give us some time to save up and hopefully we can organize an event out of this.

gregam 11-06-08 05:58 PM

Hey Folks, don't forget about me. I'm game.

East Hill 11-06-08 06:14 PM

Kelly, will you check out the particulars for us? I'm good for any Sunday, but work Saturdays.

I think we could make this into quite the fun get together, and we might even pick up some nice bits and pieces :) .

kpug505 11-06-08 07:48 PM

Ya......I'll give 'em a call. Sundays work best for me too 'cause I work Saturdays as well. I'm maxed on vacation time so I'm pretty flexible if bikes are involved!

treebound 11-06-08 08:12 PM

Can someone verify or nullify what I am or am not seeing in this pic from that other thread?

http://lh6.ggpht.com/_Pr_pQf7zeNI/Ru...0/SNC10112.JPG

Look very closely at the medium blue frame in the low center with the headtube just off the bottom of the pic, and at the silver frame and at the orange frame.

The orange frame looks like it goes under the left seatstay of the blue bike and over the left chainstay of the blue bike. A loop through a loop like a chain link. Next follow the silver frame as it's main triangle weaves around the blue frame's rear triangle. Is that pile a sculpture that someone cut and welded together? Or am I just tired and seeing things.

In any case it looks like a very interesting place to visit.

kpug505 11-06-08 08:37 PM

uhg...Your right. There appears to be some butchering in that there pile.......Art........:(
