olmo logo
Hi y'all,
Does anybody know where I can find images of Olmo logos on-line? Specifically, the 1980's-style logos of yellow block letters with black outlines, and gold stars with Olympic circles. I know I can buy decals, but first I'd like to see if I can save the fifty bucks by printing my own. Only problem is I haven't been able to find the logos on the web. Thanks very much.

I've also seen the middle set of logos on Ebay. It would be nice for a white frame but I've already painted mine a bright metallic blue. The first set also looks really cool, but I don't see it matching up with the color either. Thanks for the leads tough.

Man, if I knew 80's bikes would be so popular when I was riding a HELLOVA lot more then, I would have saved everything I had. Including empty boxes.
I know exactly what your thinking cause my friend had one. Nice light blue Olmo with the gold lettering style.

Hi Shady,
The top photo is exactly the kind I'm looking for. If you could send a couple photos that would be great. I've been trying to see if I can reproduce the lettering on the computer. The Bookman Old Style font is almost an exact match, but I would need to stretch it out horizontally a bit, and add the black outline. Also, I carefully measured the letters and stars before removing them, but now I can't find the measurements. Could you tell me approximately how big (or small) they are? Thanks a lot, I'd really appreciate it.

Very nice bike, Chuck. Mine is also a mid-80's vintage, upon which I've hung Nuovo Record components. Nice upper-mid level Matrix (Cromor) frame. The color really sucked, though, just a cruddy gray with no shine. I used to have a 1983 Trek 700 frame that was also gray, but it really sparkled. Anyway, I've put three coats of metallic blue on the Olmo now and it's looking great. Sort of a Gios blue but a bit lighter. I'm doing half-chromed forks and stays (I love chrome), and I'm going to do yellow pinstriping around the lugs. It may have no resale value now, but I don't care, as long as I'm riding it I want it to look good. I'll try to post some photos when it's done.
