Available: a set of Michelin World Tour 27 x 1 1/4 tires, nearly new. They've got 40 miles on them. Too wide for my bike, maybe not for yours.

Great minds and parallel paths...a friend I don't see very often joined me for coffee on Saturday and he's the organizer of a monthly European motorcycle night in our historic downtown district; the subject came up and he said 'Baxter Cycles in Marne, IA THE place for vintage British motorcycles and parts--they should have them in stock and will mail them out the same day you contact them.' He was absolutely correct as they had them and will be shipping them out to me later today--pricey at $10 for the pair, but worth it.

ISO (preferably semi-local):
-54cm equivalent (54cm ST in a traditional geometry, 56cm in a compact) frame that has clearance at least for 700x30's. Want to try cyclocross but don't want to break the bank. Think frames like Miyata Quickcross, Bianchi Equinox, Bianchi Axis II.
Cheers!

Looking for Huret or Campy braze-on front derailleur... 70s or early 80s. I have much to trade including, but certainly not limited to, DA braze-on fd.

I would like to trade my Trek 620 1985 for a similar quality racing bike in 54-56cm. The Trek is in beautiful conditon, but I just don't ride it, as I am more into speed bikes! I'm looking for something in the same frame material category either 531 or Columbus with quality components. I'm a very reasonable guy, so let me know what you have, and I'll consider it. Thanks!:thumb

In Search of:
"LOTUS" engraved (pantographed) Cinelli Stem.
I'm restoring a sad 1987 Lotus Design Cinelli Supreme. The bike has the "Lotus" pantographed Campy chain ring, but the engraved stem was replaced with a plain Cinelli stem. I found through a google search that the photo below was on the Atlanta craigslist sometime in June 2011 and the seller also had a bunch of Campy parts, Cinelli bars and a Cinelli Volare SLX saddle. He hosted large photos on ImageShack.us. I've done everything I know to try and research the seller, including a posting on the Atlanta craigslist and sending emails to the expired craigslist contact email.
I know it's a million-to-one shot, but I'm hoping someone remembers the guy, or bought something from him and has his contact information. It's a small bicycle world out there. Any ideas?

This is an odd request, but it never hurts to ask.
I recently purchased a new 36h 105 (FH-5700) 8-9-10 cassette hub for my dad's build. At the same time I purchased a rim and spokes. They offer the hub in two colors; black and silver. It arrived and is not black, but is decidedly not silver. It's gunmetal grey. This will not do.
If anyone would be interested in trading a 36h, 130mm, 105 or Ultegra hub in excellent condition that is actually silver that'd be really swell. I believe the 5600, 5700, 6600 and 6700 hubs all have the same shell shape so I could use the spokes I currently have. There may be other hubs that will work, I'm not sure.

I forgot to measure before I changed tires. I'll remount one later this morning and measure the width on the rim.

Okay, just checked. Mounted on a Mavic G40 rim, which is an even 20 mm wide, the 27 x 1 1/4 World Tours are 34 mm wide. That's inflated to the recommended max of 87 psi. For comparison, a 27 x 1 1/4 Pasela Panaracer on the same rim, pumped to the max recommended 95 psi, is 31 mm wide. The Michelins are pretty chubby.
