I recently recieved a 1974 Kawasaki F11. it needs a new piston and ring set. i need to know what the factory specs are on standard cylinder bore? and tolerences?

Ahh, I remember the H1 and H2. Before I got obsessed with road bikes, I was obsessed with H-Series Kaws. Had several H1s, H2s, and a couple of S2s. I seem to have obsessions with filling a garage with two wheeled vehicles!

I got excited when I saw the title, thinking there was a Kawasaki-branded pedal bike out there somewhere. I can see it now, Mean green w/purple decals and a white saddle.

Kawasaki did make a full suspension BMX bike back in the 70s I believe. I know that Yamaha did.

I used to ride a Graco full suspension and had a Webco Replica with Tuff wheels for everyday riding and a set of Arayas for race day.

Norton Commando 850 Interstate, Suzuki GS550 triple, Triumph Daytona - and the one that put me in hospital for months on end was a little Suzi GT185K twin back in 1975! Gave up the powered bikes after that, it hurts too much!!!

I can attest to the wickedness inherent in the Suzuki PE250. You can ride it straight out of the back of a pickukp truck.

Mmm, gpz1100. Fun bike. I rode my 85 Yamaha FJ1200 from Philly to San Diego in the summer of '06. I miss that bike, but I sold it when I got there. Now I have a Suzuki GSF1200s Bandit that spent most of this past summer parked in my garage as I was riding my bicycles. I've also had a bunch of older CB's, Zuk GS's, and even vintage Vespa's and mopeds. Anything with two wheels and I'm game.
ANyway, back to bicyles for me. I can own 10 of them and not get in trouble with the fiancee.

I bought the GPz1100 because CA was supposed to be mandating catalytic converters on motorcycles and I wanted a fast pre-converter bike.
I bought it, kept it unridden while I spent time in the Middle East, then Far East, came home to 900's that would outrun it. Sold it for the HD.

Which one was the Widowmaker? Was that the H2 Triple?

Just to round out the motor bicycle thread, several Ducatis (bevel and rubber band), Honda, Suzuki (and remember with fondness the Montesa, Bultaco, BSA, Yamaha TY, and Moto Guzzi).....like Doritos and bicycles, you can't have just one.....

By the speed wobbles I got at 140 mph, until I put Cinelli forks on it, I'd say the H1 would qualify.

Sometimes I wonder if the guy I sold it to lived very long.

The day I sold it, he asked to drive it. I said no. I put him on the back and was clocked at 135+ on E Outer Drive in Detroit. The cop didn't give me a ticket because he said I'd be dead before the court date.

The guy on the back handed over cash, asking price.

I switched to bicycles after that.

I went 50+mph two days ago with 2manybikes on a downhill in AZ (according to his Garmin).

I was on the brakes, because of traffic.

I sold my GFS600S Bandit this summer. After getting back into bicycles 2 years ago my Bandit was mostly just sitting and collecting dust. I did a few trips and even a few track days on it. Bandits can be very versatile bikes.

About 20 years ago, I borrowed my friend's H2 triple for a wild ride down the interstate at 140. At that speed, it is very difficult to weave through the traffic. The bike wants to stand up and go straight, as you try to convince it to dip and turn in time to avoid the next car. More amazing to me was the acceleration. That was quite a machine. Widowmaker is an apt description as any, especially since I wore only jeans and a t-shirt; young and foolish...

I had some Kawasaki plastic fendered BMX type thing in green and white when I was a kid.

I remember them, too! I liked bikes that could keep their front wheels on the ground, like the Suzuki Triples, 'specially the GT550. With a set of extractors and K&Ns it hauled.
