Bikes: Trek 1000

What is this?

I picked this one up for $10.00, has been in a barn for several years. I can't find anything on this bike, no numbers, stampings or tags. The handlebar grips say Schwinn but I don't know if they are original. Any information would be apreciated. Thanks

From: An Island on the Coast of GA!

Bikes: Snazzy* Schwinns, Classy Cannondales & a Super Pro Aero Lotus (* Ed.)

The chainring on the crank is not any Schwinn style that I've ever seen. The lines of the frame tubing do not look to be Schwinn either. Best of luck.

Its a Murray built bike and could have the Murray name or Sears or Western Auto. The series was called Spaceliner ro Flightliner or? Roger
