That's a great place. Nice to see businesses courting bike riders. It should be a no brainer in location like that.

Took the Miyata on a dawn patrol and stopped to watch the sunrise, then continued on with no real plan - ended up riding 46 miles.
So-so sunrise, excellent ride that was cut "short" by lack of water in the bottle and lack of bike lock.

Got home a little while ago and just got out of the shower... 29.5 miles in 1 hr 56 min... What a great ride! Not too hot, not too humid... I could have stayed out for hours and hours, doing laps inside that big complex called West Creek Pkwy here in the western suburbs of Richmond, Virginia. 
This is from inside West Creek Pkwy, just before the 288 expressway overpass.
And lastly, here is the layout map from MapMyRide, showing the 29½ mile ride from my house. West Creek Pkwy is that lopsided looking horseshoe shape going from either side of Patterson Ave (Route 6), with the 288 expressway passing over it in the middle. Lots of business developments in there and it's AWESOME to ride in there on the weekends when all the businesses are closed! Out 'n back is approx 6 miles. Lots and lots and lots of riders are in there along with joggers too!

And it is actually getting bigger, from a practical point of view.
BITD, when speed limits were considered friendly suggestions, I could leave home after breakfast and, given the right automobile, be at the Riviera in time for pre-dinner cocktails.
These days that would cost me my driving license and an eye-watering amount of euros in fines, so that trip now takes two days.

I took my big square route around Gilbert and Mesa this morning. There's a taste of fall in the air, with almost pleasant mornings and gentle afternoons in the low 100's. With the sun coming up later, it's getting easier to get out ahead of it.
I had my C&V-ish Smoothie with me.
I wasn't sure if the paths would be busier because of the holiday weekend, or empty because everyone got out of town. It turned out to be busier than normal, but it's always empty if you go far enough east.
I found another golf ball right there at the last picture for my golfing friend at work. I have no idea how it got there. He'd better like it, since I rode my bike 40 miles to get it.

If there was a zero bike at this location, I promise I would have been going faster. But when necessary any bike is better than sitting on the couch.

I rode up to the pass yesterday for Beer and a Brat at DRUBRU. It was a good test of my shoulder riding about 50 miles on gravel. It was a little uncomfortable but I am thinking I just may be able to do Cino next weekend :-)

I use a Black Diamond headlamp, 250 lumens. The strap fits around my helmet, its small, powered by 3 AAA batteries and is carried in my saddlebag when not in use. A very useful light.
I just discovered that Cino is officially cancelled this year. I was really hoping theyd pull it off this year but they didnt get enough registrants. My personal opinion is they waited too long to commit to it this year. Oh well
