Nice score. I picked one of these up for $175 off of CL. Same color minus the Brooks Pro. Flipped it on Ebay for $430. Put nothing into it. Had it been the size you have I would have kept it. It was practically NOS. Too small though. You don't see that teal too often on PX10's. Mostly see them in white.

Thanks nikkorod. Sorry that you did not happen on one in your size - but consider the money you made on the flip as earmarked for your next PX10 purchase - and trust that it will happen!

That's an understatement - mine came (and went) with
White Suntour Cyclone 7000 deraillers
White Suntour “Accushift” shifters
White Sakae FX-SLP crank
White DiaCompe Alpha II calipers
Aero Compe levers
Sakae alloy track pedals

HI Mr Crow. Sharp looking PX10. Was white the default color? I read here, probably from Grand Bois that
25" ones were rare on the west coast. I'm done with French bikes, I gave my Stronglight crank extracter to my LBS. Made a donation to their tool crib. Happy trails, ChrisL.

Hi TireLever-07 -
Thanks. I read somewhere (here) that they could be ordered in an array of colors, but white was by far the most common. I know Teal is uncommon, but I would not go so far as to say "rare".
I hope your LBS takes very good care of you : That was a mighty generous contribution, considering what they go for on eBay.

Dug out a 70/71 Raleigh grand prix from the folks garage last week, cleaned it up put on some new tire's and brake pads still had the original ones on, also some new bar tape. Took it out for a 12km ride today still rode nice but the spokes need some tweaking one rim has a flat spot. I noticed my large front cog has a little bend in it guessing from being dropped at one point in its life didn't affect the chain's working at all; not sure if i want to attempt to try to straiten it out or not ?

Whoa! You got a time machine? That thing looks clean!! Lube the crank/hub/headset before you ride it again, unless you already have.,,,,BD

Put some panaracer pasela tires on it, tour guards preferably. They will make it look like it just rolled out the door of the bike shop:D

Funny............I have all 3 of these bikes with same paint on all 3..........and yes, the Premis should be much better equipped.

PS-- it is good to see so many Arizonans here-- we need to do some part swapping. My garage overfloweth.

A nice haul indeed!

Very nice garage find, Sebb. Get 'er lubed and take it over the Malahat up to Lake Shawnigan and back. Looks like it could use some new bar tape.

TireLever-07 07-20-10 01:44 AM

Hey Autonoz, That Premis does it has a spray painted down tube? Popular around here, usually seen on police bike auction velos around here. Seems I'm always looking for a 126MM frame and they get scrapped quickly in my end of town. Yesterday AM a guy in a new Maxima was trash picking on my street. The Larz Anderson Bike show is in August, $10 bucks, includes a flea market too.

Bikedued 07-20-10 10:31 AM

Nope, that is part of the factory paint scheme. Schwinns had no downtube decals during that time period.

An update of the Burley. It's getting there. I need to soak the chains, though. $47 for Cane Creek stoker levers at the LBS, no thanks. I still can't believe I found a saddle that matches the Honey B.17 that closely:D. Yes, my stoker is 5 foot even. There was a major size compromise, hence the seatpost length and technomic stem.,,,,BD

Too funny Bikedude! A Bossa Nova just showed up on my local CL. Waiting to hear back. Unfortunatly after looking at yours I think this one may be too big for my 5ft stoker. :(

A Suntour V GT Luxe RD at the co-op today for $6:

That's a pretty nice price, considering the new price in 93/94 was about $2400. Lots of nice high quality stuff on these bikes. High flange cartridge hubs on 48 spoke 27 inch Sun Chinooks, Suntour 9k derailleurs, Suntour self energizing cantilevers. very nice sealed cartridge BB's, Specialized branded cranks. Extremely overbuilt, and made to last:),,,,BD

You know what will tick you off?? Both, yes both seatposts, came apart on me. They're Sakae's with the pressed in tops. Both of them came out of the posts, even without twisting force applied. The posts moved freely once the QR's were released. The stoker stem is holding the front post together, until I can afford a replacement.

Yea it has been, but it was part of the package when I picked up the Circuit.

enjoybikes 07-22-10 10:15 PM

Local thrift comes through again. I got three Peugeots in two weeks. The first two were his & hers UO8Es 78 or 79 in pretty rough shape. The larger of the two (60cm) should fit me nicely. The other, a 53 has front end damage. Cool wheelset on the smaller, Normandy hi flange hubs with steel Rigida rims with the textured braking surface. My prize is the '84 PH10L. Maillard Helicomatic hubs, alloy Rigida rims, Simplex downtube shifters, Simplex FD, replacement Suntour ARX RD, Weinmann side pull brakes with plenty of shoe left. Original rubber and housings are shot. Cranks are unmarked, but are in great shape. I read online how Peugeot used the little paper triangle with typewritten model, serial, and frame size taped onto the frame somewhere. Those are all intact on all three bikes. Pix of the UO8Es are after I began the strip down process. Now to find the correct freewheel remover. Hitting up a couple of bike wrench friends to see what's out there. Should be fun.

I can't claim any rescue as nice as enjoybikes' Peugeots, but about 2 hours ago I snagged a Giant Acapulco from a yard sale for $30 down from $35. It needs pedals, brake pads, some new tires (I'm thinking some higher-pressure slicks) and a general cleaning, but all in all looks like a fun project.

Sadly, this is pretty much the bike I was looking for last year when I bought my dep't store Schwinn.

I haven't taken any pics yet, but I may post some as the project progresses.
