I picked up this nice 1986 Diamond Back Ascent. Not a spec of rust on the frame. Looks to be mostly original, I think the Handlebars and Stem have been changed. and the Rack is an old Vetta rack. she rides like shes new!

Not my greatest find, but I like it. I hope it cleans up nice, it actually rides pretty nice as is.

I have a fondness for those colors that you don't see anymore, and that brown is one of them. Lovely, classy and very much a color that chimes back to the early seventies.

True, I have a Dawes that is the deep yellow that they used but I would have welcomed it just the same if it was their deep brown colour.

Another great find for you !

I like it too.

Have you had a chance to check the date codes on any components to get an idea of what year the Centurion is from?

I picked up a 87 Raleigh Technium USA 420 at the freebie barn. I'm not sure how it stacks up against the other 400 series, I can't seem to find much info on the 420's

Found a pair of early 90's Sidi Genius 2 for $5. My size and in OK shape.

Anyone know where I can get the Look cleat plates? It has the SPD plates in there.

You sure you don't just take out the three flat head socket screws holding the spd plate in and attach the look cleat to the same three holes you just liberated by removing the bolts?

I.e. doesn't the spd plate bolt up to the look mounting holes? Sure looks like it does.

You'd think it would work that way, but without the plate, the cleats are unsupported. The holes do line up.

Here's a pic of what the Look plates:

Not C&V yet but here is yesterday's score for $700.

The paint is in rough shape and is peeling pretty easily. I feel like the titanium is trying to break through and shine. I'm all about original paint but it might turn into this some day...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/COLNAGO-CT-1...p2047675.l2557

Without further ado, my first titanium ride!

Colnago CT-1 Titanium/Carbon blend. 55 cm
Chorus and Record Group (10 speed)
White Industries H2/H3 hubs laced to Stans No Tube rims.
Grand Bois Cerf 28mm tires (It has room for 28s!)

She will get new handlebars, tape and saddle when I get around to it.

Mine is not "saved from the dump", but a catch. A Sturmey Archer XFR8 hub laced to a Mavic CXv33 700C rim. I put it on the truing stand and it is true and round, plus it shifts through all gears. $50

I don't go to the Dump, anymore, but I do get lucky at yard sales, for some reason. Last week, a Colnago Sport and a CCM Moto Bike...

Today, again at a yard sale, an old Falcon that I kinda feel like keeping...

My Falcon flew about 300 miles straight south from where Randyjawa's landed. An '80s Falcon Victory with Reynolds 531P (professional) frameset. This one looked like it should have been thrown in the dump. The paint was really bad but no rust. Stripped it completely down and built it back up.
