Nice find! Super cool.
It's been a long time since I picked up an early 1900's camera at a garage sale.
Today was my day.
American Camera Mfg. was bought by Rochester Photographic Co. which was bought by Eastman.
While it's labeled as a American Camera, I believe it is actually a Rochester "Cycle Poco 4x5" plate camera. "Ruggedized" so you could take it with you on your bicycle outing (meaning leather covering instead of finished wood).
Today was my day.

I stopped by Goodwill today and picked up 3 bikes for $90.
1. Trek 330
2. Trek Navigator 200
3. Ross Signature 292S
All are in really nice shape. The Ross has Shimano Golden Arrow (early 105) components.

Boss man with the almost 40 yr old Bike Store was doing a little clearing out. On the way to the dumpster I took a quick peek at some of the advertizers being thrown away. Anything I saw I could have he said...
Grabbed this. Nice banner from one of the DuPont Tours. Which year I do not know. Hoot to have as I remember them and caught one when it came to Greensboro in 95(?). Good memories !
Anybody have any idea when Le Bleu was "the water" for the tour ? Have already been told by the wife there is not way in H--- it's going up in the house ! Probably'cause it is 3X15 big. Nice condition too.
Also snagged a nice little cloth banner for Vredestein tyres.

The frame is no good.. it's cracked in two places on the right seat stay. However, it's got a M900 Shimano XTR front and rear derailer. The Ritchey Logic crankset is not bad either.
Impressive bike, minus the craftsman wrench pipe clamped onto the frame.

uh.. it's a nice day, but no other bikes. I have a Trek 930.. meh. for sale maybe, where I really want a vintage something else.. at least a Trek 950, the right size with a lug frame.
After reading the Poor Man's Rivendell pages here, I'm getting warmer day by day. Eventually everything will come together. It's too bad about this cannondale frame.. it's toasted.
Also, some day I'm heading to the cape may ferry for a day of riding down in Delaware. Beer at Dogfish brewery too.

The chain rings are warped too much, and the front derailer was taken off, due to that. The rear wheel is equally bad. And on and on. It's a real nut case of a bike.

A friend of mine knew I liked old bikes and wanted to offer me his first 10 speed he bought in 1988, before he dumped it. I paid $36 for it, I just wanted the frame/fork for another 6590b conversion. Here it is after I got done with it, I haven't even cleaned the frame yet! Please ignore the hideous carbon post, a Thomson is on the way. The ride is AMAZING! Super comfy and smooth, handles extremely well.

I haven't been around BF much in a while and haven't had any really good scores to speak of lately until today. Obviously, the handlebars, brake levers and tires aren't original and the granny gear is missing. I'm not sure about the saddle, as I haven't taken the time to look up the original specs. I think everything else is original, including the 650B wheels. A modified Raleigh Portage for $110. It's too bad I'm a little over 6'-1" tall.

Here is my 1940s Hawthorne. Unfortunately got so excited that I brought it home and jumped in head first. Also got an 80s womens Schwinn cruiser. I guess I should mention they were free. Had to take 5 in total to get them, the other 3 were 90s murrays.

Got this beautiful little 1974 SuperCourse MkII from it's original owner a couple days ago, it's been hanging in the garage for years and appears to be 100% original, should clean up beautifully.
The saddle even survived in amazing condition.

I guess this can be considered a dump save, owners were going to trash it but decided to put it up on CL for $10 bucks, bent fork(repairable) and who can complain for 10 bucks and was just 10 miles away from my place.

Catch of the day
I'm not into road bikes, but I had to grab this one. Sat on CL for a while, no pics and vague listing. I got the seller to email me some pics and we finally got together. Bike is a 1985 as far as I can tell Serial Number N5G5722. Came with the panniers, rack and front bag. Needs tires and a general cleaning, but I'm happy for $50. I'll probably keep the rack and bags and sell this one, as it's a bit small for me.

My catch of the day happened last week and is already posted elsewhere but I enjoy sharing pics so.... To some it was a good price but still a lot of money. I couldn't quite get over the fact that it is the top of the line with nearly a complete group and decent tires. The paint is not pristine but hey, its Italian!

This guy came to me via the local coop. It seem to predate the convention where sturmey stamps the manufacture year on the shell of the hub. Not sure what I'll do with it, but I'll think of something.

I really do like the Raleigh, especially the shifter. That cruiser is a brute. It would make me want to be a paperboy in Springfield, (some state) USA.

SWEET green Super Course! I am drooling! that green, and Raleigh Coffee brown are two of my favorite bike colors. It's funny I keep going older on my road bikes. At one point I had MANY more 80's bikes, as in a majority. I am slowly drifting towards all mid sixties to mid seventies road bikes. It was the time of massive improvement in components. The dawn of "high end", IMHO. I do like 80's mtb's though, as they had their own evolution jumps.,,,,BD
