That's about what mine weighs, 20.5-20.75 pounds. And that's with some seriously heavy parts on it by today's standards(stem and bars, saddle, older Time pedals).
But I wouldn't trade the Mondonico steel fork for any carbon fork, no matter how much lighter it would be.

Since we're talking about weight, what's the ideal range?
The guys at the lbs were eager to weigh it as well.

Most of my bikes are in the 20-21 lb range. It's not a consideration, since I usually have 2-3 water bottles, a pump and some sort of spare tire/tube and mini tool with me. I usually carry about 10lbs extra around my waist, too.
