ID Campy Components

I know these pictures aren't the best and these probably are not very Classic & Vintage, but could someone help me ID these items off a Merckx MX Leader for me. Thanks!

The crank and FD do appear to be 1994 Chorus

The brake caliper shown is Record

The rear derailler is a tough call because the photo is bad and taken from a non-ideal angle.

Thanks for the responses. I had thought that the rear derailleur was Record, but I will try to get better pictures of the RD and post tomorrow. I'll also try to get pictures of the brifters. Thanks again!

I suspect it is record because it looks like a combination hex/allen cable fixing nut which was one of the characterisitics of record. The knuckles of the derailleur were also more smoother, but again it is difficult to tell. It is my impression that the ergo levers were the same for the Record, chorus and athena levels with a cheeper one being used for the stratos group (one year I believe).

One thing does confuse me a little. I could understand how the brakes may have been upgraded for stopping ability as this bike was used competitively and also in mountain areas and the bike is an MX Leader which tends to be a little heavier. But I thought Campy started group branding their components in 1995 and these calipers don't have any identification on them. How much newer that 1994 would they have been?

He is incorrect. These are no later than 1994.

I believe you are correct. In fact, I think they are definitely '94. I was looking at the Campy catalogs and it appeared that in 1993 Record brakes were Delta design. Does that make any sense? In the 1994 catalog, the Record brakes look exactly like those in the picture. Still waiting on additional pics.

Nice bike at a decent price. MX Leader frames/forks go for more than he's asking ;-)

PS---Still waiting for pics of the Pinarello!
PPS---Did you buy the other Merckx?

I did not buy the other Merckx, couple of frame issues scared me off a bit although the price was right. Pictures of the Pinarello are here...
