Interesting. The bottom frame looks like a copy of the Dursley-Pedersen frame design. This was, so far as I know, the first attempt at a almost fully triangulated bike frame. Considering the strength characteristics of wood probably the best frame design to try wood construction with.

I travel to Qatar occasionally and am impressed at the interest in all types of sports competition. They host the Tour of Qatar professional race and I've often wondered if there were any collections like the one you've seen.
