Joe, if you picked up a '71 it's not a Cali Masi, since the earliest US Masis date from 1973.

McFadden cashed out essentially, and his rag evolved into the USCF newsletter, as he became a USCF Director!

No idea about the Bike Barb. But his custom painted Eisentraut with the barbed wire illustration woven around the tubes was one of a kind.

David Feldman is I think in Vancouver Wa.

There were others, but those were the two who rode locally way back.

well, i dont know what happened but the guy who i am or may be(depending on the price)getting the masi from is a friend or mine-well not a good friend but a friend and he said he bought it in 1971 when he was in los angeles riding in that bike club. he said he later bought a 83 volumetrica which he said was the first year they made them. i can buy either or both of these from him as he likes me and we are friends? anyway, thanks to the help of you guys we dated the bike to 80 81 masi, so it certainly is not the same bike i thought it was.
