Bikes: Bianchi Limited

Difference between two Bianchi Limiteds

My friend recently bought a Bianchi Limited that is exactly like mine in almost every way. However, after comparing them yesterday, we noticed a couple differences, and I'm just curious if anyone could offer an explanation.

1) Fork crowns: My bike has a "B" stamped onto the fork crowns. His has the Bianchi eagle crest.

2) Seat Stays: Mine has a "B" inside a circle stamped on the stays. His says "Bianchi".

3) Made in Italy sticker: I don't know if this is significant or not, but my sticker is located on the downtube, while his is on the seat tube.

I can't compare the serial numbers b/c mine is obstructed by the cable housing, and he didn't check his. Can anyone shed some light on these curious little differences?

Would you please post some pics? I have a mid-80's Limited frameset and would like to compare it with yours...

Ah, thanks. I was thinking it had to do with the country of origin, but this makes more sense.

Sure. Sorry for the weird angles and crops.. I'm no bicycle photographer.
