I have 2 of these nifty freewheels. One of them has some chipped notches for the removal tool while the other looks nearly new. Both have a range of gears I don't really want for my build so I'd like to swap cogs around and put them on the better body to get the range I want.
Anyone ever swap cogs around on one of these? The only freewheel I've ever taken cogs off of was a Zeus. I just used 2 chainwhips and spun the end cog off. Is this one like that? I don't want to mess it up and I have a feeling that it would be easy to chew it up if I don't do it right being basically all aluminum.....
Thanks

From memory (Microlight is a long time ago), just spin the last couple of cogs off with a pair of chainwhips.

So I managed to get one of my freewheels apart. When fiddling with them I noticed one is 6 speed while the other is 7. Doh!
Anyways, I got the 6 speed one apart and the 1st cog unthreads and then the body steps out a bit and the next 3 unthread in the same fashion. The last 2 cogs are splined.
I only have one chainwhip so the 7 speed will have to wait til I get to the LBS for disassembly and hopefully I'll be able to swap some cogs around to get a closer ratio (to save weight).
