Need help to ID frame
My latest vintage find has me baffled. It's been repainted and the components offer little help as most of them are probably not original. Campy dropouts and fork tips, Nervex lugs, BB measures 68mm and has P57014 stamped in BB. Head badge is gone, two vertical mounting holes are 40mm apart. I figure it to be early to mid 60's. Had an early Campy Gran Sport RD on it.(post 1960) and Record FD with slotted cable stop. Campy cranks and headset, Universal side pulls. Take a look at the pics. Thanks.

Bottom bracket threading is marked 35 x 1 so it's French... or Swiss. Definitely not a Dawes. The seller, who was the second owner, told me the name of the bike but I was a bit skeptical since a few things, such as the type of BB shell used and the S/N location didn't match with my knowledge of the marque. I am almost certain of the manufacturer but I'm hoping for a reply to my email from a person more familiar with this particular marque. Any more guesses?

I'm adding it up: French bike with Nervex Pros in *chrome*, chrome forkcrown, Campy ends and Campy components...must have had centerpull brakes judging by the rear bridge...but it's not a Motobecane...so I get:
zero.
The only thing is the "pointy" treatment on the stays at the DOs is familiar...but not enough to jog my memory.
hmmm...something Swiss about those stays....hmmmm
Edit: I'm baaack...now I know where I've seen those stays from before: Mondia...but if you're barking up that Swiss tree you're right, it doesn't look like your typical Mondia. The serial number "should" be stamped on the LH seat stay cap (tho really early ones were on the RH side of the seat LUG) and I haven't seen one with that exact forkcrown (but something similar) and maybe the BB shell is out of the ordinary.
Maybe there's just a lot more variation in Mondias than those precise Swiss are known for.
Or... here's another angle: Juvela (the "other" Mondia brand)
zero.

Very good, unworthy1. Great minds think alike! Based upon the seller's statement that it is a Mondia and has many characteristics of a Mondia, coupled with dating of some components believed to be original, plus the hole spacing on the headtube which corresponds exactly to a Mondia head badge I am quite certain I have a 1965 Mondia. Hopefully I'll receive more input but for now I am pleased with the outcome.

<edit> I'm not saying this is definitely a Follis, but given the list of features, Follis made some models that had all those things.

This looks exactly like the Mondia I am restoring - from the chrome seat tube panel, the brake stop bridge, the wrap around seat stays. There is only one anomaly, and that is that the serial number on mine is stamped on the top of the left seat stay and it doesn't appear to be so on this frame.
FWIW, my Mondia has French bb, not Swiss.
Can you find a serial number on it anywhere?
