I have an old Gardin frame that has been repainted. Im trying to figure out what the type of thread for the bottom bracket is, but I cant seem to find any information online. Thanks in advance.

Measure the width of the BB housing, to the millimeter, or good enough that you can convert to millimeters. It's an Italian frame and it should need an Italian-thread BB. The width should be 70 mm. If it's 68 mm it should be English-threaded, but I'd be really really surprised.
