That fork on that frame is like putting big shiny chrome bumpers on a Ferrari.

Woah, I couldn't quite picture the frame built up from reading the other thread. But that looks rad. Be sure to post up some more shots once it is finished.

What's funny to me is that after a century of evolution, that is reminiscent of the wooden, push drive bicycles (velociped?). Round and round we go.

I have to agree with a previous poster about the fork. I bet that bike had a small front wheel originally.

But if you want a more upright position I would look for a cheap 1" thread carbon road fork that will at least have tight clearences and match the shape of the bike better. You can always paint it to match. A fork like that should be pretty easy to find as they are pretty much obsolete these days.

+1 re the fork.

Looks cool nevertheless. Wish I had some parts to donate. I see you already have a matching cow bell. That thing is crying out for some world champ stripes or something. Wait a sec...I do have some new Campy decals. PM me if you want them.

Looking foward to the final build.

Wild. To me it looks a little funny with Drop Bars...for some reason I picture it with TT bars.

How about some North Roads bars and a sprung saddle
...maybe a Wald rear basket...

I wouldn't be too sure about that. The headtube angle is quite steep as it is now, and the BB seems to be at an appropriate height. I dare say it would look a tad better with a 700C fork though.

Bikes: I hate bikes!

Ok in the interest of scienece, I am willing to donate a 1", 700c carbon fork. It is threadless so you would need a different headset. PM me if you want it for this ride, Not re-sell.

I have some red NOS Cinelli bartape, with the cinelli-logo bar ends...want it?
