Another wee custom job

Just a lil handi work with a drill and a selection of files. I'll need some threadlocker on the screw that holds it in place since it (the screw) moves sometimes while shifting working everything loose seeing that this shifter was designed for the clamp on band and not a downtube boss.. but it basically works.

hey why not? in a few months you'll probably throw bar-ends on there, then thumbs...

Love bar ends and I really wanna put em on this machine, though its my race bike and I feel I'll probably need the STI shifting for the back.. but who knows maybe I will feel inspired enough to do what I really want.

wait, did you drill out the center of the lever mounted on the bike? If so, then that is awsome!

That treatment was quite common to Campy levers in the 70s...

Holes were the 70's answer to carbon and Ti

I do appreciate the time and thought in that. Keep the drill going and you get to 12 lbs sooner or later.
Looks good
