70's Mercier flip
I picked this up off CL a few weeks ago because it looked neato. It was pretty rough but I think it cleaned up nice. The grips and bars aren't my style, but here in Brooklyn they're the stainless steel kitchen appliances in the art of flipping! Luxtub steel, pretty light, but not much info aside from that.

Don't cry, bike. You have a very integral place in the food chain...

Yeah. That's their top-end competitor to the PX-10 and Gitane TdF. The rest of the bike isn't too bad if you discount the plastic derailleurs. And it does have a Pivo stem.
Rides nice.

My sister had one of those bike-boom Merciers, powder blue with black lugs and logos. The Huret Svelto rear derailleur even worked as well as Simplex Prestige, and it was made of stamped steel.
That bike was the envy of her crowd in high school, except for her boyfriend, who got a PX-10. The Mercier was stolen around her sophomore year at college.
