Steyr Single Speed
I found this bike at a thrift store yesterday. I've seen Steyr multi-speed bikes and I know that Steyr made bikes for Sears, but I've never seen a single speed before. Anyone have any information? Thanks.

Bikes: more than 40 classic steel road bikes, all top 3 bikes of puch from the years 1978 till 1986, Top of the Line Simplon bikes, one CAPO and several italian and french road racing bikes

At the beginning of Puch (Steyr, Austro Daimler) only Single Speed bikes where produced. The most famous Bike was the Waffenrad witch was produced in male or female style. Enclosed you will see an picture of the Model Sprint 26 from the year 1979

Here is the picture of the Waffenrad. Waffen its meaning weapon. Steyr was also produceing weapons so the public was calling this bike Waffenrad (weaponbike) It cames out first in 1930 and was produced till 1990 only with minor changes.
