Funny words in CL ad

Schwinn road racing Bicycle, New! - $240

The classic is back, Schwinn's handcrafted, lightweight-aluminum Varsity road frame.
2008 Model/Design (almost all other road bikes for sale at Craigslist are old from the 70's and 80's)

You have to watch out for those 70's and 80's bikes.

Bikes: Raleigh, Rudge, James 3spds., and a cast of many

That'd make a nice fixed gear

Oh but we DO watch out for those 70's and 80's bikes! Numbskulls.

Any fixie-vandals? Better watch your back...

You do have to give the new Schwinn a bit of credit-they have brought a reasonably lightweight and inexpensive road bike to the Wally World customer, and it may be a gateway to get more folks off those heavy mountain bikes and on to road bikes.

Not terribly long ago, I was at a bike swap. There was a woman, well dressed in bike wear, riding one of these Varsities. It looked funny at first, but then I thought that she was riding something, even a Wally World Varsity, and that is a whole lot better than not riding at all.
