You stole my Lemond Fixie the evening of the 20th of October off the front of my porch. I'd like it back. I'll pay you whatever you would make pawning it off normally and then some NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Please I just really love my bike and have put a lot of work into it. I am sure we can work out something anonymous so all parties are happy.

It is a 2008 Lemond Fillmore fixed gear. Its dark blue/grey with upgraded petals and black soma toe clips. I upgraded the handle bars to track drops, took off one of the breaks and added one of those sweet cane creek levers.

That saddle could be fixed with some leather conditioner, and a lacing/tensioning. The bike is probably still overpriced, though. There's just not much info to say otherwise.

If this was on craigslist I would assume it's a joke. With ebay the comedy isn't free, which makes this confusing.

I'm tempted to pipe in just to say "Lying doesn't endear buyers to you" because the claim that professional racers want to buy a Le Tour is pure fantasy.

But I won't bother.

He isn't lying, first he's going to sell it on ebay, then he'll sell it to the Tour pro.

I think that the seller:

a. has no idea what he has on his hands (probably an 80s Le Tour)
b. googled "Le Tour" to figure out what it was (and got some hits on the current Le Tour)
c. put it all together, albeit a tad mixed up...
d. had an (ahem) light bulb moment and went tangentially from "Le Tour" to the "Tour de France" and made up a little story.

still at a buck with free shipping, if that thing in not rotten it will make a nice fixie, if one would not mind lugging 40 lbs of steel :p

I wonder what a person would be pursuing on this Raleigh? It's very clean though.
