That is bizarre. Maybe he priced it so it wouldn't sell, and he's using the listing as a speaking platform.

Just wow. Few months back, a guy put one of these up, definitely in more "used" shape, for SEVEN dollars. Same dude I bought my $15 '69 Sears Spyder from. As a joke, I showed him this one in Roger's museu... er... used showroom. I thought $800 (now $900) was laughable, until I saw this. Bonus WW points for posting from four states and a whole time zone away, for expecting to make four large on ANYTHING posted with only two photos, and for getting a body part in the frame of the only "detail" photo.

Nice bike, but the saddle and bars are set so high that they don't fit in the picture:

These aren't really over priced; the seller needs the money for new eyeglasses.

This must be the year that Schwinn made those really steep-angled criterium bikes. I've heard a lot about these.
Check out the head tube angle, looks to be approximately 89 degrees. That's gonna give you some very very quick handling, so quick you might run into something. First $200 takes:

Yep - you never know...but that bike looks like the my first 10 speed (a 'St. Etienne') after I plowed squarely into a raised curb in the school parking lot - a case of distracted riding!
However, my father managed to wrench the fork back forward so that the front wheel would again clear the downtube - and then he rode it around town for the next 10 years.

I borrowed my best friend's bike one time, and did the same thing when I plowed into a stopped car at a red light. It was an "SR", back when those were considered nice bikes. I never fixed for him, even though I had my own bike that was identical and undamaged. I should definitely burn in Bicycle Hell for that.

It’s not a bike but I’m selling my beer brewing stuff on CL, asking $300. Today I was contacted by a minister - named Parsons! - who wanted only some of the better bits. I told him no, I’d like it all gone. So he gave me a 50% lowball offer:
I was astounded to be lowballed by a pastor named Parsons for stuff to make alcohol. I didn’t reply further. I wanted to, though. Do you think he’ll have more cash on Sunday afternoon?
Well I can take it all but I only have 150 cash I can pick up this afternoon.

My pastor has brewed, but didn't keep it up. He drinks my homebrew though, and wine and especially port.
I heard the Puritans, when they landed in Mass., after putting up the first building (their church), the second building was the brewery.
