I had to Google translate "douleur dans le cul".

This guy is entertaining, but I digress....

Yes but if you read the text the owner states that it "works" :D Love that set cover, reminds me of one of those Russian hats...

$400 in Tim Hortons is what, hm, about $320 US? For what appears to be an exceptionally clean all-531 DB handbuilt bike? If it had a LaPrade seat post instead of that cheapo clampy one, and a Suntour or Campag RD, that price wouldn't be out of line. Weird what a wide range of components could be had on these bikes, even when new(-ish).

That is a Brooks saddle (apparently vintage and in good condition (or new and in terrible condition!)). I can't quite tell but I think the RD is Simplex

WGB 11-07-19 04:07 PM

Ignoring the Brooks we see this in Southern Ontario all the time. I stopped flipping them because I was buying them for around $100 Canadian (without Brooks but usually with similar cranks, brakes and brake levers etc), cleaning them and rebuilding them and then only getting $150 on a flip.

Yes, RD is a Simplex (one of the cheaper options BITD), saddle looks like a B17 (steps down from the Pro).

Which one do you have? A Russian hat or a furry saddle cover?

curbtender 11-09-19 10:07 AM

Maybe a Russian hat he uses as a furry saddle?

Headpost 11-09-19 05:18 PM

This actually looks like a great deal for someone so I feel bad for making fun of the seller, and you could sort of understand because the bike is black, and on sale, and Thanksgiving is coming up. But after the fourth time that they write it, and then put the link to the company right there. . . unless this is some obscure joke that I'm not getting. Anyway.

^^^ I don't know @thumpism. Just stretch it a bit and it looks like it would be capable of double duty. :)
