Already here, at a theater on YouTube...

I doubt if anyone remembers, but I believe I made a few references on the forum, about 8 months ago (when I released the 1961 Schwinn Paramount sprinting video), regarding a bicycle-inclined mini-movie I was in the process of working on.

Well, for those of you with memories akin to elephants, following is that "movie" that I spoke of (which should get a hearty guffaw from the computer hardware fans).

It isn't much, but I can guarantee you that it took far too long to make

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bqe4l8HbRg

Enjoy.

Take care,

-Kurt

P.S.: Here is a quiz for you: How many front wheels does the Paramount use in this video?

Fun. But I cannot figure out the QR skewer at 1:43. It looks open. Or maybe I am looking at it wrong?

That's the wingnut for the Bluemels fender, directly in front of the skewer nut. I see where it can be misinterpreted to look like an open QR cam.

Well, she does own the trike, as a matter of fact. Borrowed it for the front-end and side tracking shots.

Gorgeous, very well done and edited! What'd you use to edit the thing, anywho?

I'm a fan of Adobe Premier.

I'd trade a fair share of Campagnolo to get my hands on a copy of Premier. I'm stuck with Windows Movie Breaker at the present time.

Really? A fair share of Campagnolo for a copy of Premier? I might be able to get the version with the horses running out of the camera for you- PM me?

Edit- Scratch that- I can get you a newer version than that.

Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.

Great job, Kurt!

A chase scene would have been classic in that!

At least three. Phil Wood(?) laced to dark grey anodized rim, a Campy hub laced to a silver polished rim, and another Campy hub laced to a dark grey anodized rim.

Correct - primary wheel for the Paramount. 36h Phil laced to a Mavic Open 4CD with the labels removed.

I forgot to mention - the Trek 728 substituted for the heel-camera shots, and utilized this wheelset; this is not the "official" third front wheel. Shimano 105 hubs laced to Arayas. Ironically enough, this set was once mounted on the Paramount, though never in the video.

Correct. This was taken off the Basso as a quick fix when I had a flat with the Phil/Mavic front wheel. It is a 32h Mavic Open 4CD w/a Miche Competition hub.

That said, the third front wheel - and I think it unfair to quiz anyone on it, for it is nearly impossible to see - is a cracked, dark-anodized Araya CTL-370 laced to a Suntour Cyclone 7000 hub, outfitted with a solid 700x20c tire. This wheel was used for running over the motherboard. Likewise, a poor-condition, silver Araya laced to a generic Shimano hub was used in the rear for this particular purpose as well.

I was not keen on the idea of potentially wrecking the Paramount's IRC Roadwinner tires nor the Mavic rims on it, hence, the set of trashed wheels.
