Big Score!
Driving down the street today I found a Lotus Eclaire with full Shimano 600 and a Trek 820 abandoned for the garbage. I'm happy! Anybody know anything about the Eclaire? It has Tange tubing not sure on the number I'm guessing it's from the 70's/Early 80's. I'm up to 6 bikes now I think I might open a shop!

Nice find, indeed! Tange, of course, made a wide range of qualities of tubing; Prestige II is the good stuff.

It's Tange #5. I'm not really sure where that stands in the line up but it's a nice bike. All I had to do was pump up the tires, tighten a few bolts and put the chain on. Already rode it around the block. They're both a little small for me so I may sell them or try to find a pretty girl to give them to.

Look in this forum for a related thread about the Lotus bicycles. I have owned two, down to 1, and it's been discussed. You can search for Lotus ot Lotus Excelle will work too.
Yesterday I was at a road race (running) and a guy showed up an an old Univega with full 600. I commented on how cool it was and he replied that he found it on the side of the road on garbage day!
Great find.

An excellent dumpster dive. I give it a 9.2.
It will go up to 9.6 if you give them to a pretty girl.
