I know, someone is dreaming. There have been a few ridiculous listings in the akron canton CL lately, I did score some nice 64-42 cinelli bars for 10 bucks though

I did a club ride tonight and rode with a guy who was on his yellow Special Road Racer. He bought it new in 1973.

His looks just like this one.

I've got one, a 1974, but in blue, a bit of rust here and there, but all original except the bar tape (note the degrading white brake hood covers). Picked it up a year or so ago for a song, it is awaiting a light restoration. I'd let it go for $500 in a heartbeat...
