switching spindles on a lyotard berthet

I have a set of lyotard bethet pedals that were sold to me by a forum member for a set of TA cranks that I was told were french thread, it turned out they were 9/16. I remember someone mentioning they had found a set of lyotard pedals with which they were able to trade spindles with the berthet so as to get 9/16 spindles on the berthet. If anyone remembers which pedals these were exactly it would be a big help! (as stronglight made light the fact to me that there are several spindle lengths). Thanks!

I'm curious, too, since I've wanted to do the same thing. There were NOS Berthet pedals with 1/2" threads on eBay cheap for awhile, but I never risked it.

Cheers,
Karl

I could be wrong, but I believe I heard once that many of the Lyotard spindles are the same.

Try here. I also remember a recent discussion about this that had some pages out of a Lyotard Catalog so keep looking if you need more info.

The problem will be with the length... not all of their pedals are the same width. I think that's the question, really. Could be that most of them are the same after all, but I know two pairs I have are different.
